NEET PG 2025 Counselling Schedule Released by NMC, Final PG Seat Matrix Published
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the official counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025 admissions under both All India Quota and state quota seats, along with publishing the final postgraduate seat matrix for the academic year 2025-26.
According to the notice issued by the Postgraduate Medical Education Board PGMEB counselling for NEET PG 2025 will be conducted in four rounds as follows Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and a stray vacancy round covering both national and state level admissions for the same.
The NMC has clearly stated that state counselling bodies must strictly follow the Medical Counselling Committee MCC schedule to avoid unnecessary inconvenience and maintain uniformity in the counselling process for admission.
NEET PG 2025 Counselling Timeline
The counselling schedule has already been released and published on the website and the table is given below:
- Round 1: Conducted between October and November 2025
- Round 2: Conducted in December 2025
- Round 3: Scheduled through January 2026
- Stray Vacancy Round: To conclude by the end of January 2026

The last date to join allotted seats for all rounds is January 31 2026, while the academic sessions for PG programmes began on December 22 2025. To ensure the timely completion of the counselling process, the NMC has confirmed that Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays will be treated as working days during the counselling period.
