TNAU Admission 2025-26: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) offers admissions for the academic session 2025-26 to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Doctoral programs. Admission is open for all such courses offered by TNAU, and the last date to apply online is 16 June 2025.
The admission process is primarily based on the performance in the qualifying examination (10+2) for Undergraduate courses, while Postgraduate program admissions may require entrance exams. There is no entrance examination for Tamil Nadu natives applying for Undergraduate programs, as they must participate in a counselling process through the official TNAU website.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has opened its online application process for the 2025–26 academic session for UG, PG, and PhD programs through its official portal.
The application fee for UG is INR 600 for General/BC/MBC and INR 300 for SC/SCA/ST candidates. UG Programs
To be eligible for undergraduate admission at TNAU, candidates must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board in full-time, formal education. Admission includes a university-level entrance test, though certain programs like DBT-GAT (Biotechnology) may admit students directly based on external exam performance.
PhD Programs
For doctoral studies at TNAU, candidates need a Master’s degree from a recognised agricultural institution (SAU, ICAR, CAU, etc.) with a minimum OGPA of 7.00/10. Selection is based on TNAU’s entrance examination, followed by an interview. Candidates with valid ICAR/UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or equivalent fellowships may be exempted from the entrance test, depending on verification of credentials.

Steps to fill out the Application form
- Go to the TNAU online admission portal, and click on New Registration.
- Enter your name, a valid email ID, and mobile number. Create a password and submit the registration. You will receive a verification code via email/SMS.
- Use your email ID and created password to log in. Choose the admission level (UG/PG/PhD) and the program(s) you wish to apply for.
- Enter your full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, community/category, and address for correspondence.
- Provide details of your academic background, including marks/grades obtained in 10+2 (for UG), degree (for PG), or postgraduate qualification (for PhD), along with board/university names and year of passing.
- Proceed to pay the application fee online using net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.
