VIT provides admission to students using entrance tests as well as on a merit basis. The VITEEE 2026 application closing date will be in is 31st March 2026 and the exam will be held from 28th April 2026 to 3rd May 2026. To enroll in B.Tech, the students will have to clear their VITEEE. For M.Tech, students can take VITMEE or GATE, and for MBA, test scores like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and NMAT are required for admission. The program application fees are INR 1,350 for General, INR 900 for SC/ST, and USD 90 for International Centers. Students are shortlisted for the entrance exam based on their exam and application scores and are then sent invites for the counseling.

Vellore Institute of Technology UG registration starts in the month of 24th October 2025. The registration process will continue till April 2026.
