XAT 2026: Final Checklist for January 04, Check Reporting and Gate Timings, Exam Guidelines Now
The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 will happen tomorrow, January 4, 2026. The exam is from 2 PM to 5 PM at test centers in 109 cities across India. Candidates should get ready today with their admit card and other important documents for the exam day. It is advised to carry all required documents and necessary items in advance to avoid any last-minute hurry on the exam day. The reporting time for the candidates is set a few hours before the exam (12.30 PM). No late entries will be allowed after that.
The XAT Exam 2026 is one of the most crucial entrance exams for management aspirants who want to get admission in top business schools in India, including XLRI. The exam has very specific rules and reporting instructions that must be followed without exception.

- Reporting Time: 12:30 PM (reach 1.5 hours early for check-in)
- Gate Closing: 1:50 PM (no entry after this)
- Exam Start: 2:00 PM
- Exam End: 5:00 PM
XAT 2026 Exam Document Checklist
The candidates must carry two printed copies of their XAT 2026 admit card, a valid government photo ID such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Passport. If the photo on the admit card is unclear, also bring a recent passport-size photograph for verification at the exam center.
There are many things that are not to be carried by the candidates, such as jewellery, jackets, calculators, watches, mobile phones, electronic items, metal objects, bags, or valuables to the exam centre.
XAT 2026 Exam Guidelines
- The parents or guardians of the candidates are not allowed inside the centre.
- Frisking (body check) is mandatory before entry, and candidates must cooperate with the staff during the whole period of examination.
- Rough paper will also be given to the candidates for calculations.
- The Candidates should follow all instructions mentioned on the admit card very carefully to avoid mistakes during the exam.
- Candidates must enter the exam centre before the gate closing time.
- Any kind of electronic devices, jewellery, jackets, calculators, watches, or metal items inside the exam centre are not allowed.
- Wear simple clothes like a plain cardigan or sweater.
