XISS Ranchi has already started the admission process on 10th October 2025 for the academic session 2026 for its various programs, like PGDM Human Resource Management, PGDM Rural Management, PGDM Marketing Management,  PGDM Financial Management, FPM - Fellow Programme In Management,  Business Analytics For Managers (BAM), and PGCM Geospatial Technology. Candidates seeking admission in the postgraduate course PGDM need to attend any of the management entrance exams from XAT, CAT, and CMAT. The CAT exam will be conducted on 30th November 2025, whereas the XAT exam will be held on 4th January 2026 for admission in the academic session 2026. The application fee for the PGDM course in XISS is INR 2,000 for the 2026 academic year. 

Candidates looking for a doctoral programme, Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) must need to go through any of the competitive examinations such as CAT, XAT, GATE, GRE, GMAT, UGC-NET, or JRF/CSIR percentile/XISS.

XISS Ranchi Eligibility Criteria 2026

The XISS, Ranchi, provides multiple academic programs in specialization courses to fulfill students' educational needs. However, candidates seeking admission to this institute have to complete the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for admission in the PGDM program are a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks (45% for the reserve category SC/ST). The final year appearing students are eligible for the admission process.

The eligibility criteria for admission in the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) doctoral program are different from the PGDM program. It is considered a master's degree or equivalent in any discipline like engineering, technology, management, etc., with a 60% mark (55% for SC/ST). Eligibility criteria for the FPM course are as follows:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum mark a 60% mark (55% for SC/ST).
• Five-year or four-year integrated Master's degree programme with at least 60% mark (55% for reserved category SC/ST).
• The candidates from professional qualifications CA, CS, or ICWA with a minimum marks 60% (55% for SC/ST).
• Candidates appearing in the final year of a master's degree can also be eligible to apply.

Candidates who want to take admission in any of the postgraduate programs of XISS Institute need to go through multiple steps of the admission process. The admission process for the PGDM program consists of registration, providing personal details, application fee payment, filling in education details, entrance exam score, work details, and finally uploading the documents online. 

After submission of the application form, the selection process starts as per the schedule of the college. At the initial shortlisting process college verifies the candidates' academic profile, entrance exam score, and work experience.
