According to past year trends, the CBSE was to release the application for CTET 2026 on 27 November to 18 December 2025. After the application forms are released, candidates can fill them out on the official website of CTET. The eligibility criteria to apply for the examination require candidates to have completed the 12th standard/graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks scored and have a diploma/degree in education to be eligible for this examination. 

Students need to enter all of the required details and upload documents such as the mark sheets of the qualifying exam, a passport-size photo, and a scanned signature on the official portal. The application fee for the CTET application form 2026 ranges from INR 500 to INR 1200, which can be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. The examination is scheduled to be held on 8 February 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for the official CTET 2026 notification and updates.

The application fee for the CTET 2026 examination must be paid before the deadline, as released by CBSE on the official website of CTET. How to fill out CTET Application Form 2026?

Follow this step-by-step guide for candidates on how to fill out the CTET 2026 application form:

Step 1. Visit the official website of CTET 2026 at ctet.nic.in. 

Step 2. Register by entering the required information like name, category, DOB, parents’ names, gender, mobile number, and email address.

Step 3. Then fill out the application form by entering their name, DOB, nationality, category qualifying exam, preferred language, exam type, and parents’ names. Candidates also need to fill in their top preferred center in order of preference (most preferred to least preferred). 

Step 4. Upload a candidate’s scanned signature and passport-size photograph.

Step 5. Lastly, candidates need to pay the application fee online through net banking or a debit/credit card.

Step 6. Submit the application form and take a printout.

CTET Application Correction Window 2026 

The CTET correction window is opened on 23 December to 26 December 2026. Students can edit and change the information filled in the form in case of any error while filling out the application form (e.g., name, address, exam, DOB, etc.). Candidates must ensure that all of the details uploaded during the correction window period are correct and updated.

For editing the application, candidates need to log in to their accounts on the official website and re-enter the correct information. After the correction window is closed, students will not be able to edit the uploaded information, so students are advised to check the application form attentively before submitting.
