GATE Admit Card 2026: Release Date, Download GATE Hall Ticket @gate2026.iitg.ac.in


GATE Admit Card 2026: The IIT Guwahati will be issued GATE Admit Card 2026 in the 1st week of January 2026. The GATE exam 2026 is scheduled to be held on 7, 8, 14, and 15, February 2026. Candidates can download their respective admit card via the GOAPS portal. The admit cards will be released after the completion of the application process, the last date for which falls towards the end of 13 October 2025. Candidates can find their admit cards on the official website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in once they are available to download.

Candidates should verify every detail on the admit card right after downloading it. If any information is incorrect, they must reach out to the exam authority for quick correction. On exam day, carrying a hard copy of the admit card is compulsory. Students must also bring valid ID proof AADHAAR, PAN, Driving License, or Voter ID and two to three passport-size photographs for identity verification.

GATE Admit Card 2026

The GATE 2026 admit card will be released on 7 January 2026 (tentative) and will be made available to download for the registered candidates. Students can find the admit card download link on the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in by logging into the GOAPS portal with their respective Enrollment IDs and passwords. The admit card will be released by IIT Guwahati for the GATE 2026 exam will be scheduled on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Candidates must not ignore any error or discrepancy in their admit cards and must possess hard copies of their admit cards at the exam centre to avoid disqualification. 

The admit card for the GATE 2026 exam will comprise important information such as the name of the candidate, the registration number, paper code/name, date & time of exam, examination centre, and photo ID. Hence, it is important to check all the details carefully for candidates to ensure entrance and attendance at the examination. 

How to Download GATE Admit Card 2026? 

Candidates appearing for the GATE 2026 exam must follow the following steps to download the admit card:

Step 1: All the registered candidates need to visit the official GOAPS portal at @gate2026.iitg.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘GATE 2026 Admit Card’ link 

Step 3: Candidates will now have to log in with their Enrollment ID and password. 

Step 4: Download the GATE 2026 Admit Card and check for all the details carefully.

Step 5: Take a printout of the GATE 2026 Admit Card and carry the hard copy to the exam centre. 

GATE Admit Card 2026 Release Date

The GATE 2026 admit card will be made available to download online on 7 January 2026 (tentative) on the official website of gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates must carry their admit cards to the examination centre, as without it, entry to the exam hall will be denied. The GATE 2026 Admit Card will comprise the name of the candidate, the registration number, paper code/name, date & time of exam, examination centre, and photo ID. All the candidates are hereby advised to have the hard copy of their respective admit cards with them. The candidates are required to carry with them the following documents to the examination hall:

  • Physical copy of the GATE 2026 Admit Card.
  • A valid identification proof, such as an AADHAAR Card, PAN card, driving license, or Voter ID card.
  • Passport-size photograph of the candidate.

Details on GATE Admit Card 2026

The admit card for the GATE 2026 examination will contain all the important details required for a candidate to appear for the examination. Once the candidate has downloaded the admit card, it should be ensured that all the details mentioned in the admit card are correct. If a candidate finds any issue with the information addressed in the admit card, the authorities must be informed immediately. The GATE 2026 admit card will contain the following details:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Registration number
  • Paper code/name
  • Date & time of exam

The exact exam centres for the GATE 2026 have not been released yet. However, we can refer to the GATE 2025 exam centres until then. IIT Guwahati will be releasing the GATE 2026 exam centre details soon, but there will be a total of eight zonal centres. GATE 2026 Exam Centre Instructions

Every candidate appearing in the GATE 2026 exam will have to follow certain guidelines, and they are:

  • Candidates are advised to arrive at the examination centre at least 30-45 minutes prior to the exam. 
  • All the candidates appearing for the exam must ensure they are carrying their admit card hard copies, passport-size photographs, and valid identification documents. 
  • Candidates can carry a pen, a face mask, a transparent water bottle, and a hand sanitiser. 
  • Any candidate arriving without their admit card will be barred from appearing in the exam. 
  • Any kind of electronic device, bags, books, and personal belongings are prohibited in the exam hall.
