UGC NET December 2025 Admit Card: Check Release Date and December 31 Exam

UGC NET December 2025 Admit card will be released soon for the exam to be conducted between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026, in CBT mode.  Based on previous examination patterns the NTA generally releases the UGC NET admit card 2025 three to five days before the exam date. Accordingly candidates whose examination is scheduled on December 31 can expect their hall tickets to be issued between December 26 and December 28 2025. Admit cards for later exam dates may be released either together or in phases.

According to the official notice the UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects at examination centres which are located across various cities in the country. The examination is scheduled to be held on December 31 2025, and January 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, 2026 in multiple shifts as mentioned in the official notification released by NTA.

Candidates can download the UGC NET December 2025 examination city intimation slip by logging in with their application number and date of birth on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The NTA has clearly stated that the city intimation slip is not the UGC NET admit card.

Details Mentioned on the UGC NET Admit Card

Once released, the admit card will include:

  • Candidate’s name and roll number
  • Application number
  • Exam date and shift timing
  • Reporting time
  • Complete exam centre address
  • Photograph and signature
  • Important exam-day guidelines

Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details and immediately contact NTA in case of any discrepancy. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre. Entry will not be permitted without these documents. 

UGC NET 2025 Exam Pattern

The UGC NET examination consists of two papers both of which are conducted in a single session.

  • Paper 1 tests teaching and research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension, data interpretation, communication, and general awareness.
  • Paper 2 is subject-specific and based on the discipline chosen by the candidate.

Both the above-mentioned papers are conducted in CBT mode with objective-type questions.
