UPCATET Exam 2025: Registration, Exam, Syllabus, Result & Counselling


The application form for Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) 2025 started from 17 March 2025 and it closed on 18 May 2025. The last date to pay the application fee was 19 May 2025. Candidates were given time to correct their applications from 9 May 2025 to 19 May 2025. Admit cards for the exam were released on 27 May 2025, and the entrance exams were conducted on 11 June 2025 for UG courses and for other courses, it was conducted on 12 June 2025. The application fee for the exam was in the range of INR 1100 to INR 1350

To be eligible for UPCATET 2025, candidates should have resided in Uttar Pradesh. For undergraduate programs, applicants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with relevant subjects, depending on the course they want to apply (e.g., Agriculture, Science, or Biology streams). For postgraduate courses, a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field is required, and for a PhD, they must hold a master’s degree in the corresponding subject.

UPCATET Exam 2025 

The UPCATET 2025 exam is held by the CSAUAT for admissions into UG, PG, PhD, and MBA courses in different colleges affiliated with participating universities. It is conducted once a year, and applications for it start in the month of March. The exam was held on two days. On the first day, the exam for all the UG courses was held, and on the second day, the test for all PG, PhD, and MBA courses was conducted.

The application process for it began on 17 March 2025, and candidates had until 18 May 2025 to submit their forms online. The application fee for it was INR 1,350 for General/OBC/EWS male candidates and INR 1,100 for SC/ST/PwD and all female candidates. Candidates can visit the official website http://upcatet.net to fill out the application form. They have to register on the candidate portal and, after that, have to complete the application form by entering the necessary details and uploading the required documents. 

The CSAUAT will release the admit card for the exam on 27 May 2025, once the application window is closed. The UPCATET exams were held on 11 and 12 June 2025, and their results are expected to be released on 23 June 2025. After the release of the results, qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling process, which will start in July 2025. Candidates will have to choose their preferred course and college in the counselling process in order to get admission. 

UPCATET 2025 Admit Card

The UPCATET 2025 Admit Card was officially released on May 27, 2025, by Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur. Candidates who have successfully registered for the exam were able to download their admit cards from the official UPCATET website https://upcatet.net/ using their login credentials. 

The admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination hall and includes essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time, venue, and exam day instructions that need to be followed by the candidates. Separate admit cards will be issued for the UG exam (June 11) and PG/PhD (June 12) exams. It’s advised that the candidate print a clear copy of the admit card and verify all details well in advance to avoid last-minute issues. 

UPCATET 2025 Answer Key

The UPCATET 2025 Answer Key is expected to be released in the third week of June 2025, shortly after the entrance exams conclude on June 11 (UG) and June 12 (PG & PhD). The provisional answer key will be published first on the official UPCATET website https://upcatet.net/, allowing candidates to review their responses and raise objections if needed. The answer key helps students get an idea of their overall performance in the exam before the declaration of the final results. After evaluating the challenges submitted by the candidates, the final answer key will be released, which will be used for the result preparation. Candidates can also check our website for the answer key of different courses before the release of the official answer key.

UPCATET 2025 Result

The UPCATET 2025 Result is scheduled to be declared on June 23, 2025, by Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur. Candidates who have appeared for the entrance exams on June 11 for UG courses and June 12 for PG, PhD, and MBA courses can access their Results by going to the official UPCATET website and logging in with their registration ID and password. The result will consist of the details of the candidates like their name, roll number, date of birth, and photograph. It will also have subject-wise marks, their overall score and qualifying status. It’s important to download and save the scorecard, as it will be required during the counselling process, which will be held in June and July, depending on the courses. 

UPCATET 2025 Counselling and Seat Allotment Process 

The candidates who have qualified for the UPCATET 2025 exam will be called for the counselling and seat allotment process. In the counselling process, the candidates will be given an opportunity to choose their preferred course and college. The counselling for UPCATET 2025 will begin from June 27, 2025, and will be conducted in multiple phases for UG, PG, and PhD programs. 

First, candidates will have to register online on the official UPCATET website using their roll number, date of birth, and mobile number. After registering, they will have to pay a counselling fee to proceed further.

Next, candidates are required to upload copies of their documents, like all mark sheets, caste and category certificate (if applicable), photo ID, etc. Once the candidate has filled in all entries, the choice filling and locking phase will start, where candidates will be able to select and lock their preferred courses and colleges based on their eligibility and interest. UPCATET 2025 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

UPCATET 2025 exam consists of different papers for different courses, and the marking scheme is the same for all the courses. The exam will be held on two days, 11 and 12 June 2025. The MBA and PhD papers consist of 100 questions, while other UG and PG exam papers will have 200 questions.

UPCATET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

UPCATET 2025 eligibility criteria consist of minimum standards set by the CSAUAT for all the candidates who want to appear for the exam. It consists of general eligibility, which has to be met by every candidate, and then there will be educational eligibility, which will vary depending on the course opted for by the candidates. The eligibility details of it are mentioned below:

General Eligibility

  • Must be an indian citizen
  • Must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh or have resided in Uttar Pradesh for 5 years 

Undergraduate courses eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent with relevant subject combinations:

    • UG Courses: 16–22 years as of August 31, 2025
    • BVSc & AH: 17–25 years
    • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates

Postgraduate (PG) Courses

UPCATET 2025 Application Form

The UPCATET 2025 Application Form was started online by CSAUAT, Kanpur, beginning from March 17, 2025, via the official website of UPCATET upcatet.net. Candidates were able to submit their applications until May 18, 2025, while the last date to pay the fee was May 19, 2025. An application correction window was also open from May 9 to May 19, 2025, giving candidates an opportunity to fix any errors in their Application Form.

To complete the form, candidates needed a working email address and mobile number, along with scanned images of their photo, signature, left thumb impression, and, if applicable, category or sports certificates. They have to first register themselves by entering their mobile number, email address and other required details. Then they have to complete the form by filling in personal and educational details, and then uploading the mentioned documents along with their photograph and signature. The application fee was set at INR 1,350 for General/OBC/EWS male candidates and INR 1,100 for SC/ST/PwD applicants and all female candidates.

UPCATET 2025 Cutoff 

The UPCATET 2025 cutoff represents the minimum marks or ranks candidates must achieve to qualify for the counselling process and secure admission to their desired course and college. The cutoff varies by category, course, and university, and is influenced by factors like the number of candidates who have given the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability. CSAUAT will release the cutoff after the results are declared on its official website.

Candidates must be domiciled in Uttar Pradesh and meet the academic qualifications for their chosen course. For UG programs, a 10+2 pass in relevant subjects is required; for PG, a bachelor’s degree in the related field; and PhD, a master’s degree in the corresponding discipline.
The exam is offline (OMR-based) with MCQs. UG and PG papers have 200 questions (800 marks) in 3 hours, while MBA and PhD papers have 100 questions (400 marks) in 2 hours. The marking scheme is +4 for correct answers and ?1 for incorrect ones.
The result is scheduled to be announced on June 23, 2025, on the official UPCATET website. Candidates can log in using their registration credentials to download their scorecard.
There are five participating agricultural universities in Uttar Pradesh, including CSAUAT (Kanpur), BUAT (Banda), ANDUA&T (Ayodhya), SVPUAT (Meerut), and MBAUAT (Ambedkar Nagar).
