AIT B.Tech Admission 2025-26: Army Institute of Technology is accepting applications for the BTech program for the academic year 2025-26. Candidates can apply online on the Institute’s official website. The application process should be completed by filling out the registration form and paying an online fee of INR 825 to complete the process. Candidates need to complete the application process before 20 June 2025(tentative).

Army Institute of Technology BTech Admission 2025

The admission to the BTech program in AIT is open for children of serving/retired Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) personnel, and war widows of the Army/Navy/Air Force. Candidates are required to submit relevant documents as proof of their eligibility for admission.

The AIT BTech admission process is done based on the candidate’s performance in JEE Mains. Additional weightage is added to the score if the candidate's parents are awarded any gallantry awards or wards of war widows. Any candidate who has passed any exam that is recognised by the Savitribai Phule Pune Institute is not eligible for admission in the same subject.

The applicant must be a citizen of India or willing to settle in India with an Indian citizenship. Candidates can apply online on the Institute’s official website by selecting their preferred course. The application process also involves paying an application fee of INR 825. A soft copy of the JEE Main Admit Card/Hall Ticket should be attached with the AIT Application Form.

Army Institute of Technology BTech Eligibility

Children of serving/retired Indian Armed Forces (Army/Navy/Air Force) are eligible for admission in AIT. The parents of the candidates must have served in the Armed Forces for a minimum period of 10 years. Candidates will need to submit appropriate documents to prove their eligibility.

The eligibility criteria for the AIT BTech program are as follows:

• Indian nationality is necessary. 
• Candidates should pass Class 12 exam in CBSE or ISC or any other recognised board with English, Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects. 
• Minimum 45% marks are required to meet the eligibility criteria.
• Candidates who fail in Maths, Physics or Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology at the same setting(one or more subjects) are not eligible for admission.
• Adopted Child of Army/Navy/Air Force personnel if adopted at least five

years before seeking admission.

Army Institute of Technology BTech Entrance Exam

The merit list of the institute is made based on the JEE Mains score. After adding the weightage of gallantry awards, candidates are selected based on the final list. If the scores of two candidates are the same, the selection is done based on their previous JEE Mains marks. The final decision is made by the management of the institute. 

Candidates who are in the top 1500 in the merit list can fill their preferred choice on the institute’s official website by paying a reservation fee of INR 10,000. The candidate’s preference will be rejected if the reservation fee is not paid. The final allotment will be done based on merit, availability of branches and the desired course of the candidate.
