Alliance University accepts a number of different entrance exams for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For undergraduate courses in management, law, engineering, design, media, and film, Alliance University will primarily admit students based on the scores of the CUET UG exam. For undergraduate engineering programs, some other exams for admission will be the Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, Karnataka CET, and COMEDK UGET.
For undergraduate law programs such as BA LL.B. and BBA LL.B. Hons. CLAT scores will be considered as part of the admissions process. At the postgraduate level, management or MBA admissions will mostly follow the Alliance Management Aptitude Test (AMAT) but will allow other national exams such as the XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, NMAT, KMAT, and CAT. Alliance University UG Admission 2026
The Alliance University offers admissions to various undergraduate courses across the fields like management, law, engineering, design, media and film etc. The admissions to the various undergraduate programmes are conducted through CUET UG The basic eligibility criteria is to be passed in 12th standard and it can vary program-wise.

Alliance University PhD Admission 2026
Alliance University offers PhD Programs in various fields of study such as Management, Law, Engineering, Public Policy and Sciences. Entry to some of the PhD programs might require a valid GATE score for management courses as part of the admission process.
The application window for the 2026 PhD batch opened in August, and the admission process is strictly merit-based (entrance test, personal interview and the assessment of research proposals).

A candidate has to meet a specific eligibility criterion before applying to the various UG, PG and Doctoral programmes of Alliance University, which are as follows:
Undergraduate (UG):
Applicants are required to have a 10 + 2 qualification certificate issued by a recognised Board or Council with at least 50% marks, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST.
Postgraduate (PG):
B.Tech: Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks or an equal CGPA with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST category candidates, in B.E. and B.Tech degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology or MCA.
MBA: Candidates should have a Graduate degree of any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for the general category and 45% marks for the SC/ST category, and should have an acceptable score in a national-level management aptitude test, such as MAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc, or the Alliance Management Aptitude Test conducted by Alliance University.
Law: Candidates should have the LL.B/ B.L. Degree or equivalent prescribed by the Bar Council of India graduate degree with minimum 45% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
PhD:
- Candidates who possess a master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade according to the UGC will be eligible.
- If final results are awaited, provisional admission will be given candidates must provide proof within three months thereafter.
- Applicants who have master's degrees from foreign universities that are equivalent (after the approval of the Equivalence Committee) can apply.
- Candidates with M.Phil coursework or equivalent degrees may be eligible.
- Reservations for SC/ST/OBC and other categories will be based on the Karnataka State Rules.
- Candidates who have completed four-year undergraduate programs (Honours) with 75% or more (70% for reserved categories) may be mostly eligible to apply directly. Candidates who have a master's degree with marks between 55%-75% will need to do a one-year master's or bridging course.
- Students will still need to finish a bridging course and coursework if they have completed a three-year undergraduate program with marks above 55% (or equivalent grade) in accordance with the National Credit Framework (NCRF 2024).
Alliance University Admission Process 2026
The Alliance University admission process for various courses is as follows:
Step 1: The first step for a candidate is to ensure that they have the necessary eligibility requirements for their program. Each program states its requirements on the university’s official website.
Step 2: The second step is to begin the application process. Candidates will go to the university’s website and create an enrollment account by entering basic details to generate an account.
Step 3: Candidates log in to their account and complete the application form, and upload all requested documents.
Step 4: Candidates will pay the application fee listed on the admissions page of their program.
Step 5: Once the payment is processed, candidates will receive an email confirming receipt of the payment.
Step 6: Candidates will have to select a date for their Alliance Selection Process, which will be a full-day process where candidates are assessed by a panel using real-life inspired problem-solving to show the panellists candidates' capabilities and the way they are assessed by the university.
Step 7: The admissions team will review each application and announce the status on that same day after the Alliance Selection Process as to whether the candidate is selected, waitlisted, or rejected. Please remember that rejected candidates cannot apply to the same program in the same admission year.
Evaluation: The selection committee will use candidates' national or Alliance entrance exam score, academic history, and extracurricular and overall performance in the Alliance Selection Process.
Alliance University Courses Offered 2026
Alliance University offer multiple programs and across multiple disciplines via its specialist schools. Alliance University Fees Structure 2026
Alliance University offers a wide range of courses with fees depending on both the type of course and level. In management, for example, courses such as the MBA will have fees ranging from INR 15 lakh to INR 18 lakh. Alliance University Cut-offs
The Alliance School of Business held a CAT percentile cutoff of 70 for MBA during the period from 2022-2024. The cutoff for the Karnataka PGCET rank was 11,560 in 2024 while the NMAT exam cutoff score remained constant at 100. After 2021, the cutoff for MAT and XAT percentiles was constant at 80 and 70, respectively. For the engineering admissions through COMEDK UGET, the cutoff ranks fluctuated across specialisation - Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering. The cutoff for Civil Engineering increased to 106343 in 2025. As for the other specialisations the cutoffs remained the same. The cutoff trends demonstrate the competition for intakes for the admission to the Alliance university.
