The TS SET 2025 application fee is between the range of INR 1,000 - 2,000, depending on the category of the candidate. To apply for TS SET 2025, candidates must hold a Master’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender categories). Those candidates in final-year postgraduate degrees are also eligible to apply provisionally. For the academic year 2025-26, the TS SET exam 2025 is scheduled to be conducted in the second week of December 2025. The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS SET) is conducted annually by Osmania University and acts as a gateway for candidates to Assistant Professor and Lecturer posts in various colleges and universities across Telangana.

The exam will be conducted in computer-based test mode and will contain two papers, out of which, Paper I assesses general teaching skills and research aptitude, while Paper II focuses on the subject specialization chosen by the candidate. The duration of the TS SET exam will be three hours. Paper I consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, and Paper II includes 100 questions, and each question carries two marks.

TS SET Admit Card 2025 

The TS SET Admit Card 2025 is a mandatory document that candidates must carry to the examination centre on the day of the exam. It is released a few days before the exam date, likely in the 3 December 2025

Candidates can access their TS SET admit card by entering their registration number and password on the official TS SET website. It is strongly recommended to download and print the admit card well in advance to avoid any last-minute issues. TS SET Answer Key 2025

TS SET 2025 Counselling and Seat Allotment Process 

The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS SET) is a qualifying examination conducted by Osmania University to determine candidates’ eligibility for the posts of Assistant Professor and Lecturer in universities and colleges across Telangana. Due to this, there is no counseling or seat allotment process for TS SET. 

Once a candidate qualifies by securing the required marks in both Paper I and Paper II, they are awarded an eligibility certificate after document verification. This eligibility certificate is valid for a lifetime and allows candidates to apply directly to teaching vacancies when they are announced by individual institutions. 

TS SET does not involve any centralized counseling, seat allotment, or admission process; candidates must independently apply for academic positions using their TS SET eligibility certificate.

TS SET Exam 2025 Pattern & Marking Scheme

The TS SET exam consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I includes 50 objective-type questions carrying a total of 100 marks, and with each correct answer, 2 marks are awarded to the candidate. Paper II comprises 100 objective-type questions based on the candidate’s chosen subject, totaling 200 marks, with 2 marks awarded for each correct response. The entire exam lasts for 3 hours, with Paper I having a duration of 1 hour and Paper II being 2 hours long. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers in either paper.

To be eligible for the Telangana State Eligibility Test 2025 (TS SET), candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • The candidate must be at least 18 years old to apply for the TS SET. There is no upper age limit, making the exam accessible to all eligible age groups.
  • Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 55% marks for the general category, and 50% marks for candidates belonging to BC, SC, ST, PwD, or transgender categories.
  • Provisional Eligibility: Candidates in the final year of their Master’s program or those awaiting results may also apply provisionally, but they will have to submit proof of qualification within the specified time.
