AIIMS PhD Exam 2025

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) PhD Entrance Exam 2025 for the July session is a national-level test conducted by AIIMS Delhi for admission to PhD programs in various medical and allied science disciplines. The exam consists of 70 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 90 minutes, with 1 mark for each correct answer and no negative marking. Candidates must score at least 35 marks to qualify for the next stage. The medium of the exam is English.

AIIMS PhD 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Medical Candidates:

  • Candidates must have an MBBS degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in professional examinations.
  • An MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh or Diplomate of National Board (DNB) or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/DCI.
  • Candidates must have a master’s degree after BAMS, BHMS, or BNYS are eligible for a PhD in AYUSH.

For Nursing Candidates:

  • M.Sc. degree in Nursing with at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent percentile.

For Non-Medical Candidates:

  • Master’s degree (2-year course) in a relevant subject (e.g., M.Sc., M. Biotech, M. Tech, M.Com, MBA, MPH) from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying examination.
  • A master’s degree obtained through distance learning is not eligible.

AIIMS PhD Application Form 2025

The AIIMS PhD Application Form for the July 2025 session will be available online on August 25, 2025 to September 15, 2025, at the official AIIMS PhD portal (phd.aiimsexams.ac.in). Candidates must first register by providing basic details such as name, date of birth, email, and mobile number to generate a unique login ID and password. After logging in, applicants should complete the application form by entering personal, academic, and contact information, selecting their desired department and research area, and uploading scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and required documents in the specified format.

The final step is to pay the application fee online using net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI. After successful fee payment, candidates should download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
