Gandhi Engineering College BTech Admission 2025: Admissions are open for BTech programs. The College is approved by AICTE and affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha. The admission process for the 2025-26 academic session is based on merit through OJEE counselling and direct management quota. GEC BTech Admission 2025

Gandhi Engineering College BTech admissions are open. Students can apply for admission on the official website before 31st July 2025 (Tentative). BTech admissions are done based on the rank of the JEE exam conducted by NTA or OJEE. Registration for OJEE counselling was started on 20 June 2025 and ended on 10 July 2025. Round 1 of the seat allocation process was conducted from 12 July to 19 July 2025 and Round 2 is going on and will end on 31 July 2025. Final allotment of seats will start from 5 August to 8 August 2025. Gandhi Engineering College offers BTech admission through two primary modes:

1. OJEE Counselling

Students who appear for the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) or JEE Main can apply through the OJEE counselling process. Seat allotment is done based on merit, and students need to register on the official OJEE portal and fill in their preferences.

2. Special OJEE Counselling

Special OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Exam) is conducted by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) for the applicants who couldn't appear in OJEE exam and to fill the available seats. Candidates who wish to get admission through OJEE but were unable to take the exam can apply through the special OJEE. Special OJEE 2025 registration last date was 28 June 2025 and the exam was held on 16 June 2025 for BTech course. Special OJEE 2025 exam result was released on 23 July 2025 on the official website of OJEE. Special/2nd OJEE 2025 counselling registration will begin from 28 July 2025 and end on 1 August 2025.

3. Direct Admission / Management Quota

Students can also apply directly to the college under the management quota. In such cases, admission is based on academic merit and seat availability.

GEC BTech Eligibility Criteria 2025

For Regular BTech Entry (10+2 Candidates):

Candidates applying for admission to the BTech program at Gandhi Engineering College must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must have successfully passed +2 Science or 10+2 Board Examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following:
    Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
  • Must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Must have qualified with a rank in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) conducted by NTA or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) conducted by the OJEE Board.

For Lateral Entry (Diploma Holders):

Students seeking admission into the second year of the BTech program at Gandhi Engineering College through Lateral Entry must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have passed a minimum three-year Diploma (or two-year Lateral Entry Diploma) in any branch of Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidates).

OR

  • The candidate must have passed a B.Sc. Degree from a recognised university (as defined by UGC) with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) and must have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

OR

  • The candidate must have passed the D.Voc. (Diploma in Vocational) stream in the same or allied sector.

Additionally, the candidate must have qualified with a rank in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) conducted by the OJEE Board.

Note:
Both Odisha and outside state candidates are eligible for Lateral Entry admission. The OJEE Committee will prepare a separate merit list for outside state candidates. Admission will be based on centralised counselling, and the final diploma result must be available at the time of document verification during counselling.

GEC BTech Entrance Exam 2025

For admission into the BTech program at Gandhi Engineering College, candidates are required to qualify through specific entrance exams:

For Regular BTech Admission (1st Year Entry):

  • Candidates must have qualified with a valid rank in either the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) conducted by the OJEE Board.

These scores are used for admission through the OJEE counselling process or can also be considered under management quota admission.

For BTech Lateral Entry (2nd Year Direct Admission):
