MCAT Exam 2026

The MCAT Exam 2026 is a globally recoganised entrance exam for students aiming to pursue medicine in the U.S., Canada, and a few other countries. Conducted by the AAMC, it is held across multiple dates from January 9 to September 12, 2026, allowing candidates to select a slot that best fits their schedule. For the exam to be held on January 9, 2026, so candidates have their last chance to reschedule the test. For the exam to be held in the months of January and September, students can still reschedule their test.

The AAMC offers candidates three distinct deadlines, 60 days, 30 days, and 10 days before the exam, to reschedule their test, change their test centre, or cancel their registration. Each deadline category determines the eligibility for a refund or the fee required for making changes. The admit card for the exam is issued once the application process is completed.

The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is a standardised, multiple-choice exam designed to evaluate the problem-solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of natural, behavioural, and social science concepts essential for the study of medicine. Administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the MCAT is required for admission into most medical schools in the United States, Canada. It’s a rigorous, computer-based exam divided into four sections covering biology, chemistry, psychology, and reading comprehension.

MCAT Admit Card 2026

The MCAT admit card 2026 is issued by the AAMC after candidates have successfully registered and paid the application fee for a selected test date. There is no fixed date to release the admit card, it is normally released a few days before the exam or after the closing of the registration window. Candidates can also visit our website for the direct link to download the admit card.

The admit card includes key details such as the candidate’s full name, AAMC ID, test date and time, test center address, and instructions for exam day. Candidates should verify that all information is accurate and matches their government-issued ID to avoid any issues on test day. It is essential to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the test center, as entry is not permitted without it.

MCAT Answer Key 2026

The MCAT exam does not release any official answer key after the test, as it is a secure, standardised exam administered by the AAMC. Unlike many entrance tests, the MCAT is designed to maintain the integrity of its questions across multiple administrations, so neither the questions nor their correct answers are publicly disclosed. Instead, candidates receive a scaled score for each of the four sections, along with a total score ranging from 472 to 528, approximately 30–35 days after the exam.

The candidate can visit our website in order to view the answer key, which is created by interviewing the students who have taken the exam. The answer key helps in evaluating the performance of the candidate in the exam before the official scores are released by the AAMC.

MCAT Result 2026

The MCAT Result 2026 is typically released 30 to 35 days after the exam date, and candidates can access their scores by logging into the AAMC portal using their registered credentials. The score report includes section-wise scores, a total score, percentile ranks, and a confidence band to reflect score precision. These results are crucial for medical school applications, so it’s important to choose a test date that aligns with your target schools’ deadlines. The AAMC does not provide raw scores or answer keys, ensuring the integrity of the exam across all test dates.

Medical schools normally accept scores dating back two or three years. If you have taken the exam previously, it is recommended that you consult the Medical School Admission Requirements to check the application policies of each school to which you want to apply.

  • No official age limit is specified, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants.

Educational Eligibility

  • No specific undergraduate degree is mandated, but a solid foundation in the sciences is strongly recommended.
  • Applicants must be:
    • In the final year of an undergraduate degree (especially in pre-medical or life sciences fields), or
    • Have already completed a degree like MBBS, particularly relevant for Indian candidates.
  • International applicants (e.g., from India) must be enrolled in or have completed a program equivalent to a U.S. or Canadian pre-medical curriculum.

Other Eligibility (Special Cases)

  • Special permission is required if the test is not being taken for entry into a health professions program. This could include candidates taking the MCAT for research purposes or academic curiosity.

MCAT Application Form 2026

The MCAT Application Form 2026 is available in online mode through the official AAMC MCAT Registration System from October 2025 for January, March, April, May, and June exams. For the exam occurring in July, August, and September, the application form will be opened from January 9, 2026. MCAT Cutoff 2026

The MCAT exam does not have a fixed cutoff score set by the AAMC. Each medical school determines its own minimum score requirements based on its admissions criteria. The total MCAT score ranges from 472 to 528, with 500 being the midpoint. A score of 510 or above is generally considered competitive for top-tier U.S. medical schools, while scores in the 505–509 range may be acceptable for mid-tier institutions.

Most schools evaluate MCAT scores alongside GPA, personal statements, recommendation letters, and interviews. Some institutions also publish the average MCAT scores of their admitted students, which can serve as a helpful benchmark when setting your target.
