GADVASU Admission 2025: Eligibility, Courses, Fees, Date


GADVASU Admission 2025-26: Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) has started the admission process for UG, PG and PhD programs for the 2025-26 academic year. The BVSc & AH program requires NEET-UG scores. Students can apply up to 4 weeks after the NEET-UG result, with an option of late fee option also available for 1-2 weeks. Counselling dates for this course will be announced soon.

For BFSc, B.Tech (Dairy Tech, Biotechnology, and Food Tech) programs, the 1st to 3rd counselling rounds will be conducted between 11 June and 22 August 2025. If needed, a mop-up round will be announced later on the university website.

The last date to apply for 1st counselling for BFSc, B.Tech (Dairy Tech, Biotechnology, and Food Tech) courses was 30 May 2025, and for 2nd counselling, applications were accepted from 13 to 23 June 2025.

For MVSc, the last date to apply is 9 December 2025 (without late fee) and 16 December 2025 (with late fee). The MAT-VET exam will be held on 24 January 2026. The applications for M.Tech, M.Sc (Agri) AE, MFSc, and M.Sc (Agri) MB & BT programs will close on 11 August 2025. However, students can apply until 18 August 2025 with a late fee for the following courses. The last date for the application form for M.Sc (MB & BT – ABT) is 14 July 2025, and with a late fee option, students can apply till 21 July 2025. The last date for PhD application is 4 August 2025, and with a late fee option, it is 11 August 2025.

GADVASU Admission 2025-26

GADVASU opened admissions for UG, PG, and PhD courses. For UG programs, the last date to apply for the 1st counselling was 30 May 2025, while applications for the 2nd counselling were accepted from 13 June to 23 June 2025.

The last date to apply for the MVSc program is 9 December 2025 without a late fee, and 16 December 2025 with a late fee. Applications for M.Tech, M.Sc (Agri) AE, MFSc, and M.Sc (Agri) MB & BT programs will close on 11 August 2025, while submissions with a late fee will be accepted until 18 August 2025. For the M.Sc (MB & BT – ABT) program, the application closing date is 14 July 2025, and applications can be submitted until 21 July 2025 with a late fee. Candidates who want to take admission in these courses must meet specific eligibility criteria. For UG courses, students must pass Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in relevant subjects. GADVASU  UG Admission

GADVASU provides various UG courses to their students in different specialisations, mainly BVSc & AH, BFSc, B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Biotechnology), B.Tech (Food Science & Technology), etc.

Admissions are open for these courses for the current academic year of 2025-26. For the BVSc & AH program, NEET-UG scores are required. Students have four weeks to apply after the NEET-UG results, and an extra 1–2 weeks is given with a late fee. Counselling dates for this course will be announced soon.

For BFSc and B.Tech programs (Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, and Food Technology), the first three rounds of counselling will take place between 11 June and 22 August 2025. The last date to apply for the 1st counselling round for these courses was 30 May 2025, while applications for the 2nd round were accepted from 13 to 23 June 2025. The basic eligibility criteria for UG admission are that Candidates must pass Class 12 with a minimum qualifying mark from a recognised board.

GADVASU PG Admission

A wide range of PG courses are offered by the university in various specialisations like MVSc, M.Tech, M.Sc (Agriculture) AE, MFSc, M.Sc (Agriculture) MB&BT, M.Sc (MB&BT with specialisation in ABT), etc.

The University has released the dates for the PG admission on its official website. The last date to apply for the MVSc program is 9 December 2025. Students can also apply with a late fee until 16 December 2025.

For M.Tech, M.Sc (Agri) AE, MFSc, and M.Sc (Agri) MB & BT programs, the application deadline is 11 August 2025. With a late fee, applications will be accepted until 18 August 2025. The last date to apply for the M.Sc (MB & BT – ABT) program is 14 July 2025, and with a late fee, students can apply until 21 July 2025. Students must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognised university. 

To be eligible for these courses, students must have completed a Bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks.

GADVASU PhD Admission

The university offers PhD programs in multiple disciplines, such as Veterinary Medicine, Animal Biotechnology, etc, and the last date to apply is 4 August 2025. With a late fee, applications can be applied for until 11 August 2025.

To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subjects with at least 70% marks, and a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60%, both from recognised universities.

GADVASU Eligibility Criteria

UG Programs

BVSc & AH: To apply for the BVSc & AH Program, candidates must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognised board, securing at least 50% marks (or 47.5% for SC/ST/BC/DP categories), excluding optional subjects. A self-undertaking (Annexure X-B) about the board details must be submitted by the students.

GADVASU UG Admission 2025 is based on a valid NEET-UG 2025 score. Only those who score equal to or above the NEET cut-off (as per their category) will be considered for the UG programs. For Self-Financed/Category-II/Special Management Quota, NEET cut-off marks and general eligibility must also be fulfilled.

In case of a tie in scores, the “One candidate, One rank” rule from the NEET-UG 2025 merit list will be followed.

BFSc: Candidates must have completed Class 12 (Medical) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognised board, with at least 50% marks (or 40% for SC/ST/BC/DP categories), excluding optional subjects. A self-undertaking (Annexure X-B) about their 12 board details must be submitted.

B.Tech (Dairy Technology): Candidates are required to complete Class 12 (Non-Medical) or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English from a recognized board, and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (or 40% for SC/ST/BC/DP categories), excluding optional subjects. A self-undertaking (Annexure X-B) about their 12 boards must be submitted.

B.Tech (Food Science & Technology): Students must have passed 12 (Medical or Non-Medical) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English from a recognised board, with at least 50% marks (or 40% for SC/ST/BC/DP categories), excluding optional subjects. The student must submit his/her affidavit (Annexure X-B) regarding 12 Board.

B.Tech (Biotechnology): Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English from a recognised board, securing at least 50% marks (or 40% for SC/ST/BC/DP categories), excluding optional subjects. A self-undertaking (Annexure X-B) about their 12 boards must be submitted.

PG Programs

GADVASU PG Admission 2025, Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 60% marks. The minimum eligibility requirement is 55% for in-service candidates working in Government or Semi-Government organisations with a minimum of two years of professional experience.

Candidates holding a B.Tech (Dairy Technology) degree will be given preference for the listed M.Tech programs. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in B.Tech (Dairy Technology), BVSc & AH, or BFSc.

PhD Programs

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 70%, and a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60%, both from recognised Indian universities. In-service candidates with two years of work experience in government or research organisations also qualify under the same educational criteria.

Diploma Program

Students must have passed 12 (Medical) from a board recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education in India. Students should have at least 50% marks in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English combined (excluding optional subjects). For SC/ST/BC and DP category students, a total of 40% marks is required in the relevant disciplines. Selection to the Diploma is based on a merit list made from the total marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in Class 12.
