In addition to PUCAT, the university also considers national-level entrance scores like JEE Main and CUET PG for certain courses. VBSPU UG Admission 

VBSPU Jaunpur undergraduate admission process for the academic session 2025–2026 has started. Admissions to various UG programs such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com (Hons), B.Tech, B.Pharma, BCA, B.Ed, and integrated courses like BA-LLB are conducted through the PUCAT 2025. For B.Com, candidates must pass Class 12 or an equivalent examination in any stream from a recognised board, with at least 40% marks for General/OBC and 33% for SC/ST candidates. Similarly, BA programmes in Psychology, Mass Communication & Journalism, and Sociology require a minimum aggregate of 40% (UR/OBC) and 33% (SC/ST) marks in class 12.

The online application process started on 2 May 2025, and the last date to apply was 25 June 2025. After the declaration of PUCAT results, candidates will be called for counselling and seat allotment based on their merit. The annual course fee is INR 12,874 for B.Com (Hons), INR 23,474 for BBA, and INR 12,474 for B.Sc.

VBSPU PG Admission

VBSPU Jaunpur has started its postgraduate admission process for the academic year 2025–2026. Admissions to PG courses are done through the PUCAT 2025, which is expected to take place in early July. The university offers a variety of postgraduate programs such as MBA, MCA, M.Sc, MA, M.Com, M.Tech, etc. The total duration of the PG program is 2 to 3 years.

To apply for postgraduate programs at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria depending on the course. For admission to the M.Tech program in Material Science and Technology, applicants should have either a B.Tech degree in a relevant field or an M.Sc degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Nanoscience and Technology. Students who are interested in pursuing an M.Sc. in Geology must hold a B.Sc. degree with any two subjects from Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Life Sciences (Zoology and/or Botany) from a recognised university. VBSPU PhD Admission

VBSPU offers a PhD program in various disciplines. To get admission in the phD program, candidates must appear for an entrance exam called Purvanchal University Combined Research Entrance Test (PUCRET), which is conducted by the university. The format of the entrance test may vary depending on the department—it can include multiple-choice questions, a written test, or an interview. To be eligible for the PhD program, candidates must have a master’s degree with at least 55% marks. Those who have national-level fellowships or relevant work experience may also be considered. VBSPU M.Ed. and B.P.Ed. Admission

The application process started on 1 June 2025, and the last date to apply is 15 July 2025. The fee is INR 1,000 for General and OBC, and INR 750 for SC/ST candidates. Students who are in the final year or last semester of their course can also apply.

To get admission in B.Ed and M.Ed in VBSPU, students must have at least 50% marks either in a bachelor’s degree or in a Master’s degree in Science/Social Sciences/Humanities.

UG Courses eligibility criteria 

• B.Com (Hons), Candidates must have passed 12 in any stream with at least 40% marks for General/OBC and 33% for SC/ST.
• BBA: Students must have scored 50% or more in 12 (any stream). SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation.
• B.Sc (PCM, Environmental Science, Geology): Should have passed 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• B.Pharm: Admission is based on CUET (UG) score.
• BA LLB (Hons): Candidates must have passed class 12 with 45% marks for General, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST.
• BCA: Students must pass or appear for Class 12 in any stream.

PG Courses eligibility criteria 

• MBA: Students must have a graduate degree in a relevant stream with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST and OBC candidates). If students have a postgraduate degree, students should have 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and OBC–Non-Creamy Layer).

• MA/M.Sc (Applied Psychology): Students are required to have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 45% (5% relaxation for reserved category) marks.

• MA (Mass Communication): A graduate degree in any field with 45% marks is required. 5% relaxation is provided to SC/ST candidates.

• M.Tech (Material Science & Technology): Students should have a B.Tech in a relevant subject or an M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Nanoscience & Technology.

PhD Program eligibility criteria 

• Master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks.
• Must qualify for the PUCRET entrance exam, followed by a personal interview.
• Candidates with national fellowships or research experience may be given preference.
