The Alpha Educational Society, a non-profit educational organisation recognised by the Societies Registration Act, 1860, is in charge of operating the Alpha College of Engineering (ACE) in Poonamalle, Chennai. Anna University is connected to Chennai's Alpha College of Engineering. It provides undergraduate and graduate courses in a range of engineering and management specialisations. For the B.Tech programme, the college also provides Lateral Entry admissions.

• The minimal qualification for the B.Tech programme offered by Alpha College of Engineering, Chennai is a 10+2 pass with 50% marks (45% for Backward, 40% for Most Backward/SC/ST/SCA) in the Science (PCM) group. The college provides the programme in multiple streams.

The goal of Alpha College of Engineering's (ACE) Career Development Cell is to support the academic departments in producing graduates who are employable for the industry, as they will be the ones to shape the future of the nation.
