RIMS Imphal Admission:

In Imphal, India, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) was founded in 1972. It is managed by a North Eastern Regional Medical College Society, a legally recognised organisation by the Manipur Societies.

Numerous medical courses in the areas of medicine, dentistry, nursing, urology, etc. are offered by the college. The institute also provides doctoral degree programmes in addition to undergraduate and graduate programmes.

For each course offered by the institute, a different admission process is followed.

• According to the supreme court's rules, applicants for the MBBS, BDS, MD, and MS programmes must take an entrance exam known as the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). The candidates are chosen based on their NEET performance.
• The results of the 10+2 level exam determine whether an applicant is admitted to the B.Sc. Nursing programme.
• For applicants to the M.Ch. programme, the institute administers a written exam. The performance and exam results that the applicants obtained determine their admission.

RIMS Imphal MBBS Admission:

At the undergraduate level, the institute offers the Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes. While the BDS programme lasts 4 years, the MBBS programme is 5.5 years long.

As required by the Supreme Court, applicants for admission to the MBBS and BDS programmes must take the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET), also known as an entrance exam. The NEET scores of the candidates are used to select them. For candidates who fall under the SC/ST category, the institute offers a 5% score relaxation for admission to the MBBS and BDS programmes.

RIMS Imphal MD/MS Admission:

The institute provides its respective candidates with a Master of Surgery (MS), a Doctor of Medicine (MD), and a Postgraduate Diploma at the postgraduate level. The MD and MS programmes last for three years, while the PG Diploma programme lasts for only two years.

To qualify for the MD, MS, and Diploma requirements, applicants must hold an MBBS degree from an accredited university.

The NBE, which conducts the entrance exam known as NEET, must be passed by willing candidates. The NEET performance of candidates is used by the institute to select students.
