The Ministry of Textiles of the Government of India founded the Institute of Apparel Management, a multi-university apparel school, in 2007. Although it has a primary affiliation with the Indira Gandhi National Open University, this institution is multi-university, so some of its certifications also come from other institutions.
The institute has a total student intake of about 210 and offers 3 UG, 2 PG, and 4 short-term certificate programmes.
- A 10+2 diploma or bachelor's degree certificate and a passing score on the entrance exam for the institute are the basic requirements for admission.
- The institute offers short-term international diploma certificate courses that are recognised as HND by a number of nations, including the UK, Argentina, Finland, and other nations with ties to the UK.

Institute of Apparel Management BA Admission:
Currently, IAM Gurgaon offers two UG programmes through Mewar University: a B.Tech in Fashion & Lifestyle Design and a BA in 2 specialisations.
Candidates may apply if they have a certificate for the 10+2 level examination from any reputable board. IAM APT will be used as the basis for selection, followed by an institute-conducted interview. The final shortlist is created using the results of the interviews.

User Facts:
- Three years are required for BA certification programmes. Given the nature of their curriculum and issuing authority, they are known as Indian Pathways.
- Product development is also covered in the curriculum for the BA in Apparel Design & Merchandising.
Institute of Apparel Management MBA and MA Admission:
The university offers PG-level MBA and MA programmes. Candidates with graduate degrees from accredited universities and an overall average of at least 50% are eligible to apply.
Performance in the IAM APT will be taken into consideration, followed by an interview. The final shortlist is created using the results of the interviews.

- Candidates who are in their last year of high school may also apply.
- Candidates who are in their final year of study or recent graduates who do not yet have a degree certificate from the university must submit provisional degree certifications issued by the university.
- The institute provides exclusive internship and site visit opportunities, charges of which are to be paid apart from the regular fee structure.
Institute of Apparel Management Application Process:
For UG and PG courses:
- Register online at the institute's website and pay the registration fee of INR 2,500.
- Only wire transfers or demand draughts are accepted for payment of registration fees.
- Candidates will receive information about IAM's aptitude test after registering via the email address on file.
- Candidates are shortlisted based on the merit of their IAM APT score, and those candidates are then notified to appear for an interview.
For Pro-Up Programs:
- The application form may be downloaded from the Institute's website.
- Complete the application's fields and submit it to the institute along with the necessary papers, a check or DD made out to IAM, and the required fees.
- The fees due by check or DD are made up of the first instalment of the requested course and the registration fee (Both of these are specified on the form itself).
- Within 30 days of the program's start, the second instalment of the total fees is due.
