    Katihar Medical College (KMC) Eligiblity Criteria For MBBS

    Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board, Council, or University, and must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually, as well as a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology taken together. Candidates must have completed English as a mandatory/core subject. The minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST or OBC are 40%, and the minimum qualifying marks for candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs as defined by the MCI are 45% taken together in qualifying examination.

    Katihar Medical College (KMC) Eligiblity Criteria For MS

    The candidate must have a recognised MBBS degree or equivalent qualifications and must have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils within one month of his/her admission, or his/her admission will be cancelled.

    ADMISSION GUIDELINES

    The NEET-PG is used to determine admission.

    Candidates in the General category must obtain at least 50 percentile marks, candidates in the SC, ST, EBC, and OBC categories must obtain at least 40 percentile marks, and persons with disabilities must obtain at least 45 percentile marks in the NEET-PG.

    Katihar Medical College Application Process 2023

    Aspirants seeking admission to Katihar Medical College must first register online with the Bihar Counselling Board before applying offline to the college. Applicants must, however, register for the NEET UG/ NEET PG entrance examinations on the respective official websites.

    To apply for admission to any of the college's UG and PG programmes, please follow the steps outlined below:

    For online:

    • Candidates with a NEET score card can apply for admission through the state government's website, Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB).
    • To apply online, click the UGMAC-2018 button.
    • Create a login ID and password for UGMAC using a valid email address and mobile number.
    • Sign in using the newly created login id to pay the registration fee of INR 1200 (for General/ BC) and INR 600 (for SC/ ST/ PD) online via Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net-banking or offline via Banks with an additional bank charge of INR 60.
    • Take a printout of the paid online challan or the offline challan's stamped receipt.
    • Fill out the online application form completely, including personal and academic information.
    • Fill out the application form completely and save it after submission.
    • Take a print of the application form in Part A and Part B format.

    For offline:

    • The prospectus and application form can be obtained from the college's admission office.
    • Fill out the application form completely.
    • Attach the passport-sized photograph to the form's designated locations.

    Katihar Medical College Bihar Placements 

    Medical courses do not have placements; instead, they offer internship programmes.

    As part of the MBBS programme, we will complete an internship in a hospital. Internships are required for all students, and the college will list specific hospitals. After completing their MBBS, medical students typically start their own practise or pursue post-graduate studies. Medical doctors typically approach hospitals to begin their careers.
