Joint Entrance JEE Main Exam 2023
The joint entrance exam (JEE Exam 2023) is one of the famous entrance exams for Btech admission in government and private engineering colleges in India. JEE Exam 2023 will be conducted in two papers which are JEE Main 2023 and JEE advanced 2023 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This prestigious testing agency comes under MHRD (now known as the Ministry of education).
Talking about JEE Main 2023, it will be conducted for those seeking admission in Btech, BE, and BArch courses offered by the IIITs, NITs, and other government-owned engineering colleges in India. Also, some of the private engineering colleges in India, consider JEE Main Results 2023 as an entrance test score. Apart from this, JEE advanced 2023 is totally dedicated to admission in the BTech study programme at the Indian Institute of Technology.
JEE Exam 2023 Latest update
Students who are going to appear in JEE Exam 2023 were glued to the internet to know the latest update of JEE Main 2023 and advanced exam. The ministry of education has issued a notification over JEE Exam 2023. According to the notification, this year's exam will be conducted in four different sessions with a reduced JEE exam syllabus.
Also, the NTA has waived off the 75% eligibility criteria. Currently, JEE Main 2023 registration is going on, students can log in to the official website of the NTA JEE exam and proceed for the registration. The last date of registration is April 25, 2023. JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in 13 different languages, this is the first time ever.
Major Changes 2023 in Covid19 Pandemic
The exam will be organized on different dates of February, March, April, and May months. This decision was made to break the chain of COVID-19 and prevention. According to the Education Ministry, students have to solve 75 questions out of 90 questions (75 each in Phy, Che, and maths). There will be no negative marks for the rest of the 15 questions. Students demanded to reduce the JEE syllabus 2023.

JEE Main Registration process 2023
After fulfilling the JEE Main Eligibility criteria by the student, they can proceed with registering themselves to appear in the JEE Main 2023. The Exam is scheduled in four different sessions and the NTA has started the registration process. Students can complete the JEE Main 2023 registration process by the below-mentioned step-by-step process.
Step 1 - Log in to the official website of NTA or click on https://jeemain.nta.nic.in. This webpage is dedicated to JEE Main 2023.
Step 2 - Fill the registration form with correct information about the candidate. Students have to fill in the details of academics and personal information on this page.
Note - Don’t forget to note the application number generated by the system.
Step 3 - Upload the passport size photograph of the candidate and scanned the sign.
Guidelines for documents to be uploaded-
- A passport size photograph should be recent.
- The photograph should be with white background in black and white mode.
- 80% of the face of the student is mandatory to be visible without a mask.
- Image size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb of passport size photograph
- The scanned sign size should be between 4kb to 30kb
- EWS certificate or reserved category certificate scanned copy should not be more than 300 kb and not less than 50 kb.
Step 4 - Students have to pay the JEE Main 2023 Fee by online method. Students can pay for both papers at one time or two times. Reserved category students will get concession fees.

JEE Main Admit Card 2023
It is mandatory that students carry the JEE Main Admit card 2023 with them at the exam centers. All the details about the candidate which is mandatory will be written on the hall ticket of the exam. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of the National Testing Agency after the second week of February 2023.
The National Testing Agency has made clear that students have to download their admit cards as they will not be sent to them via post. Students have to keep their admit cards in good condition for the future. There is no arrangement to issue JEE Main 2023 admit card on the exam center if you lost that.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2023
The National Testing Agency will publish the JEE Exam Eligibility criteria. The JEE Main exam eligibility is mandatory to complete by the student before applying for the registration. There are various points that you need to fulfil as a student to apply like age limit, academic qualification and etc. Only those students will be allowed in the JEE Exam Centres, who fulfill the below mentioned requirements.
Age Limit - There is no age limit for students to appear in JEE Main 2023. If he/she passed the higher secondary exam in the year 2019, 2023 or appears in 2023 then he/she can apply for the exam.
Academic qualification - Students who have passed the higher secondary board exam from a recognizable education board like CBSE, ICSE or state board, will be eligible for the exam. Physics, Chemistry, and Maths should be prime subjects in 12th standard.
The number of attempts - The national testing agency allows a student only two times to appear in JEE Exam.
Students with these “Academic Qualifications” are also eligible for the JEE Main Exam 2023:
- Candidates completing Class XII from outside India or a board not mentioned above need to present an Association of Indian Universities (AIU) certificate. All that matters is that this particular exam is equivalent to a Class XII exam here.
- Candidates who have given the “General Certificate Education (GCE)” at the advanced A-level from Cambridge, London/Sri Lanka.
- Candidates passing the High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University OR IB Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- Candidates who have gotten a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of a duration of at least 3 years.
- Candidates who’ve given an intermediate or 2-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- Open Schooling candidates need to have given the Senior Secondary School Examination in at least 5 subjects that is conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling.
JEE Main 2023 Exam Pattern
The JEE Main exam pattern 2023 is a bit different. According to JEE Main 2023 question pattern, there will be two sections in the JEE question paper for mains exam. Each subject will have 20 multiple choice questions and 10 numerics questions. Students will have the benefits as there is no negative marking system for section B (10 questions). Students have to solve at least 5 questions out of 10 in section B.

JEE Main 2023 Question Paper Pattern
Students will get a question paper that will have 90 questions from three particular subjects. 25 questions are mandatory to solve in each subject. According to JEE Main 2023 question pattern, for every right answer students will get 4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 marks will be deducted.
- PAPER 1 (B.E/B.Tech) will be conducted in Computer-based Test (CBT) mode. It shall include 3 subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of 100 marks each. The paper will be worth 300 marks.
- PAPER 2A (B.Arch) will also be a Computer-based test (CBT) and shall include 3 parts i.e. Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test. The Aptitude Test will be worth 200 marks while the other two shall be worth 100 marks each.
- PAPER 2B (B.Planning) will also be a Computer-based test (CBT) and shall include 3 parts i.e. Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning. The Aptitude Test will be worth 200 marks while the other two shall be worth 100 marks each.
When it comes to Paper I of the JEE Main Exam 2023, each subject will have 2 sections. While Section A will have 20 compulsory questions, Section B will have 10 questions (of numeric value answers) out of which, students need to answer any 5.
In the case of both Paper 2s, the “Mathematics” section will have the same pattern as above and the “Aptitude Test” will include 50 questions. The Drawing Part consists of 2 questions while the Planning part would has 25 questions.

JEE Main 2023 Results
JEE Main 2023 results date is not announced yet by the National Testing Agency. Students can check their results after one week of the exam. JEE Cutoff 2023
It is expected that the National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main Cutoff 2023 after the final exam will be conducted. Students can proceed with their desired college according to the JEE cut-off 2023. It is the minimum score to classify the college for a particular student.
Though the JEE exam cutoff will be updated once the NTA releases it. the cutoffs for the year 2023 could be around 88 for the General/Unreserved section and 48 and 38 for the SC and ST, respectively. For the economically weaker sections, it might go around 68 percentile while for the OBC-NCL category, it’ll probably be around 70 percentile. Students can check their cut-off by visiting the official website. The cutoff will be decided on the basis of the below-mentioned points.
