    The KS Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) in Mangalore, Karnataka, was founded in 1999. In 2009, it became a constituent school of NITTE University. The Medical Council of India recognises the university's MBBS, MD/MS, and M.Ch programmes (MCI). Aside from that, it provides B.Sc., M.Sc., MPH, and MHAHSM courses in a variety of fields.     K S Hegde Medical Academy accepts students for undergraduate, postgraduate, and superspeciality courses. Admission to certain courses is based on the All India Entrance Examination, while admission to other courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

    How Do You Apply?

    Undergraduate Programs (MBBS/B.Sc.):

    • Candidates for MBBS must pass the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG).
    • Candidates must register and fill out an online application form on the KSHEMA website.
    • Candidates will be admitted based on merit, seat allocation, document verification, and fee payment.
    • Candidates for B.Sc. must pass 10+2 exams with a minimum of 40% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as one of the subjects.

    Postgraduate Courses:

    For MD/MS/M.Ch:

    • Candidates must pass the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET-PG).
    • Candidates must register and complete an online application form on the KSHEMA website.
    • Admission will be granted based on merit, seat allocation, document verification, and fee payment.

    The MBBS and B.Sc. programmes are available at the college. courses at the undergraduate level, and the KS Hegde Medical Academy provides MD, MS, MPH, and M.Ch. courses at the postgraduate level

    • Candidates who have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks and studied Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology / Biotechnology as subjects are eligible to apply for the MBBS programme.
    • NEET scores will be used to allocate MBBS seats.
    • Candidates who have completed their 10+2 with a minimum of 40% marks and have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects are eligible to apply for the B.Sc. courses.
    • Sc. Seats will be assigned based on their performance in the qualifying 10+2 examination.
    • Candidates with an MBBS degree are eligible to apply for the MD and MS programmes.
    • MD and MS seats will be assigned through the KEA counselling process based on NEET PG scores.
    • Candidates with an MBBS/BDS or a related degree are eligible to apply for the MPH programme.
    • MPH seats will be assigned based on performance in the qualifying degree examination.
    • Candidates with an MS in General Surgery may apply to the M.Ch programme. Seats will be assigned based on merit.

    Mangalore KSHEMA Facilities:

    The university has a well-equipped library that is open every day. The library has a well-established computer centre with a dedicated leased line for access to the Internet and e-mail for staff and students.

    • Hostels: The hostels are located on campus. Solar water heaters, WiFi, a common telephone, a TV room, a reading room, a visitors lounge, water coolers, generators, and 24x7 security and surveillance cameras are all available in each hostel. Some of the hostels have air conditioning. Indoor and outdoor games are also available at the hostels.
    • The Gymnasium is air-conditioned and well-equipped. Treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, rowing machines, and a full-fledged multi-gym are among the equipment.
    • Transportation: A number of buses and vans are available on campus to provide transportation for students and staff.
    • Sports facilities include a basketball court, a lawn tennis court, a volleyball court, a badminton court, and a football field. Indoor games such as chess, carrom, and table tennis are also available.
    • Cafeteria: There is a cafeteria on campus for students and staff.
