2008 saw the founding of the Maharaja Agarsain Institute of Technology in Ghaziabad by the Shikshadeep Education Trust. The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), located in Lucknow, is affiliated with the institute.

At the undergraduate level, the Maharaja Agarsain Institute of Technology in Ghaziabad offers the MBA in four specialisations. Additionally, the institute provides BBA and BCA programmes in partnership with CCS University, Meerut.

To be eligible to apply for B.Tech degree programmes, candidates must successfully complete the 10+2 exam with English, Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science/Chemistry as required subjects and receive a score of 45%. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any stream from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50%. Valid UPSEE scores are used to determine admission, which is then followed by the counselling process.

Only online counselling will be offered for admission to the Maharaja Agarsain Institute of Technology in Ghaziabad. The AKTU/UPTU Counseling will be held at the Uttar Pradesh-based Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.

Counselling Procedure:

• Candidates who pass the test will receive calls for counselling based on their merit.
• There will be five rounds of counselling.
• Candidates must register online to participate in the counselling process. Candidates must pay the counselling fee online during registration using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking method.
• The cost of AKTU counselling is INR 20,000 (INR 12,000 for SC/ST Category).
• Candidates must upload the scanned copies of all their documents and certificates after successfully paying the application fee.
• Every document shouldn't be larger than 200 KB.
• All candidates' supporting documentation and certificates will be checked online by the university.
• The "Choice Filling & Locking" link will become active on the login page following document verification.
• Candidates will fill out their preferences for colleges and courses.
• The system will automatically lock the choices made by candidates at the end of the allotted time.
• By entering their "Application Number" and "Password," applicants can view the results of the seat allocation.
• For admission, they must download their letter with the assigned seats.
• Subject to the order of preference given for the seats, the seat allocation will be done based on UPSEE merit and seat availability.
• No change in the branch or institution will be permitted after seat allocation.

Application Process

• Candidates must report to the designated college with a provisional allotment letter after the counselling process is complete.
• Candidates must also bring the remaining fee and all necessary paperwork (Original & one set of self-attested photocopies).
• To secure their seat and admission, they must pay the balance of the admission fee.
