    MAT Exam Introduction

    Management Aptitude Test or MAT Exam is a national entrance test required for admission in top management colleges in India. It is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for MBA/ PGDM admissions. The exam first started in 1998 accepted by over 600 B-School in India.

    This test will check the candidate's general aptitude, mathematical skills, intelligence, critical reasoning, etc. The MAT Exam 2023 includes three different modes offline, online, and remotely proctored. Offline as Paper Based Test (PBT), online as Computer Based Test (CBT), and remotely proctored as Internet-Based Test (IBT).

    MAT Exam 2023 Eligibility

    Before filling the exam application form, candidates need to check the MAT Exam Eligibility. The examination is open for candidates who wish to pursue different MBA programs in the academic year 2023-24. Therefore, it becomes for all the interested candidates to meet the requisite eligibility criteria to sit in this exam. Though the MAT Exam is only open for graduates from a recognized institute, those in their final year can also apply. As far as the details of the eligibility criteria are concerned, the pointers below shall make it much more clear for the candidates before approaching admissions.

    • Final year students are also eligible.
    • A minimum of 50% marks is required.
    • 45% marks for the reserved category.
    • There is NO upper age limit for giving this exam.
    • Students also need not have any prior working experience.

    MAT Exam Pattern 2023

    Students have the option to give the MAT Exam for the new session in three different modes i.e. Computer Based Test, Paper Based Test, and Internet-Based Test. The tests are conducted Online, Offline or Both and students can opt for one or both of them. In total, students have 2.5 hours/150 minutes to complete this exam, which includes a total of 200 questions.

    As far as the marking scheme for this exam is concerned, students will be awarded +1 marks for each correct answer, while around 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Additionally, students can give one or more of these tests in the following ways -
