    Nitte University was founded in Mangalore, Karnataka, in 1979. It offers eight UG courses, including B.Sc, B.Arch, MBBS, BPT, BDS, B.Pharm, BJMC, and Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing programme, and eight PG courses, including MD, MS, MSc, MCh, M.Pharm, MPH, MPT, and MJMC. There are six PhD specialisations available, as well as additional courses such as D.Pharm, GNM, Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, Pharm.D, and so on.

    All courses are admitted through an offline process, with the exception of doctorate programmes, which require applicants to download a form and mail it in. Admission to medical courses is based on NEET scores, while admission to other courses is based on merit in the previous qualifying examination. The University's NUCAT entrance examination is used to determine admission to B.Tech programmes. 20% of the seats in each program/branch are reserved for NUCAT top scorers. Top NUCAT scorers will be offered admission with a scholarship worth 20%-40% of the prescribed fee.

    Nitte University Admission:

    Nitte University was established in Mangalore, Karnataka, in the year 2008. It is considered a university by the UGC in New Delhi.

    At the undergraduate level, Nitte University offers B.Sc, MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Pharm, B.Tech, B.Arch, BJMC, and Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing programmes. The university offers PG level programmes such as MD, MS, MPH, MCh, M.Pharm, MPT, MSc, and MJMC.

    In addition, the university offers GNM, Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, Pharm.D, and D.Pharm courses. Candidates at the doctoral level have the option of enrolling in a Ph.D. programme with six specialisations. Candidates must apply for admission to UG, PG, and Diploma courses through the mail. Those interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree can apply for admission by downloading the form and mailing it in.

    Admission to MBBS and BDS programmes is based on NEET UG ranking through KEA's Centralized Counselling. Candidates were admitted to B.Arch with a valid NATA score. Admission to the remaining UG programmes is based on the applicant's performance in the qualifying examination. Admission to MD and MS programmes is based on NEET PG ranking and is handled through centralised counselling by KEA. Admission to MDS is granted based on a valid NEET MDS score. M.Ch admission is based on a valid NEET SS score from NBE. Students are admitted to other postgraduate programmes based on their performance in the qualifying examination. Admission to B.Tech is based on valid NUCAT scores obtained from the University.

    Applicants are admitted to the Diploma programme based on their performance in the qualifying examination. The university conducts a written test and an interview round to determine admission to the Ph.D. programme.

    Nitte University MBBS Admission:

    Nitte University, Mangalore, has a 5-year MBBS programme with a capacity of 150 students and a 5-year BDS programme with a mandatory internship of one year and a capacity of 100 students.

    Candidates who have completed 10+2 with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or biotechnology, and English are considered eligible for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes.

    Admission to the MBBS and BDS programmes is based on the candidate's valid NEET UG score.

    Key Points:

    • It is compulsory for the NRI candidates to qualify NEET UG to get admission to MBBS and BDS courses.

    Nitte University MD, MS and MDS Admission:

    Nitte University has three-year MD and MS programmes in various specialisations with a total enrollment of 98 students, as well as a three-year MDS programme with a total enrollment of 49 students.

    Candidates who have completed an MBBS programme and have a permanent registration with any State Medical Council are eligible to apply for the MD/ MS programme. Those who have completed a BDS degree and are registered with the State Medical Council are also considered eligible for admission to an MDS programme.

    Admission to MD and MS programmes is based on NEET PG rank through centralised counselling administered by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). MDS admission is granted based on a valid NEET MDS score.

    Nitte University Facilities:

    Hostel: The hostels are located on campus and close to the college. Students are given fully furnished rooms that include a bed, study table and chair, and a cupboard.

    Mess: The hostel has an attached mess where students can get both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Outside food is not permitted in the hostel mess.

    Medical: The students are covered by the college's Medicare Scheme, which allows them to receive free medical treatment at reputable hospitals. These include the 1200-bed multi-specialty KS Hegde Hospital and the AB Shetty Dental Hospital.

    Transportation: The campus has a fleet of buses and vans that are maintained. These vehicles provide free transportation to students and faculty.

    Gym: A 5500-square-foot air-conditioned gym is available on campus. It is operational from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The gym has three professionally trained instructors as well as equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical trainers, rowing machines, and so on.

    Library: A well-stocked library with books and journals is available for all students to meet their academic and knowledge-acquisition needs.

    Sports: The university has a very strong sports structure, including a 400-meter athletic turf track, a football field, basketball, volleyball, and badminton courts, a cricket pitch, and a tennis court. Aside from that, the campus has facilities for indoor games such as chess, table tennis, and carrom.

    IT Infrastructure: The University provides excellent IT Infrastructure for students, including a strong Wi-Fi network throughout the campus.
