PSMC Facilities
Modern research and development facilities as well as other infrastructure support systems are available at PSMC. A wealth of information is available at the museum that is connected to the departments of anatomy, community medicine, pathology, forensic medicine, and pharmacology. Other services include a mentoring programme, medical insurance, hostel accommodations, a restaurant that serves food, a medical book store, an Oriental Bank of Commerce branch with an ATM, an Axis Bank ATM, and a safe campus that is conducive to teaching and learning.
Library: PSMC has a first-rate library. According to MCI standards, the Central Library subscribes to the majority of the national and international journals needed by faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students. The internet, CD-ROMs, computers, audio-visual aids, and photocopying equipment are all included in its modern amenities. It also has access to the Electronic Journal Package, which includes over 1000 journals. The library's reading room is open every day of the week, including holidays and Sundays. Two databases hosted by EBSCO and MD Consult, to which the library has also subscribed, allow online access to the full texts of articles from a variety of journals.
Mentoring Program: The College offers a special mentoring programme to its undergraduate students. Each year, a mentor teacher is assigned to ten students. This mentor teacher meets with the student mentors on a regular basis through mentorship sessions to discuss topics like attendance, academic performance, campus housing, and other problems with the goal of offering emotional and moral support.
Hostel amenities: The hostels, which are on campus, are run by wardens and have 24-hour security. On a first-come, first-served basis and at the management's discretion, furnished rooms at the hostels are offered to resident doctors whose services are needed for hospital services. When people are given accommodations at the hostels, the rules governing accommodation allocation are followed. Hostel accommodations are not a guarantee of enrollment in the course.
