Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a computer-based exam, conducted by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur annually. XAT is an important exam to get admission in MBA or PGDM courses offered by more than 150 management colleges in India. In the month of August 2022, the registration window will be open for XAT 2024. Earlier, XAT 2022 conducted on 2 January 2022.

What is XAT Exam?

Xavier Aptitude Test is popularly known as XAT. It is a national level computer-based exam to get admission in MBA or PGDM study programmes in more than 700+ management colleges of this country. XLRI, Jamshedpur is the conducting body of this exam. Students have to solve a paper of 100 MCQs that consists of questions from decision making, Quantitative aptitude, GK, verbal & logical reasoning and etc.

XAT 2024Eligibility

To appear in this National level exam, students have to complete the XAT 2022 eligibility mentioned below. In case of any student does not fulfil the requirement or unable to submit the application form then he/she will be considered disqualified and will not get entry at the exam centre on XAT 2022 Exam date.

1. Age limit- No age limit. Student of any age group who fulfill the eligibility can sit in the exam.
2. Academic qualification- a graduation degree with 50% or above marks, is mandatory to apply for the exam. A graduation degree should be from a valid university. It should be recognizable by the government of India.

XAT 2024 Application Process

Students can register for XAT 2022 with step by step process mentioned below.

1. Visit the official website of the exam conducting body
2. Fill up the initial and [personal information like name of the candidate, phone number, email id and other information.
3. Once you have filled in all the information like academic and personal then make sure you double-check the details provided by you before clicking the submit button. In case, you provided the wrong information then the exam conducting body has the rights do reject your XAT 2024 application form
4. Upload scanned photograph and sign of the candidate as per the guidelines.
5. Modify the details if you think before submitting the application form.
6. Now select the preferred city for the exam centre
7. At last click for payment and pay the fee in online mode. XAT 2022 application fee is 1750 INR for the Indian students.

XAT 2024 Exam Pattern

XAT 2022 exam pattern is an important part of the preparation for the exam. students must have complete information about this. There will be 100 multiple choice questions to solve from four different sections in the given 180 minutes. However, there is no section wise time limit but it is suggested that candidates divide particular time for every section.

There is a negative marking system. According to the rule, one mark will be added on every correct answer and 0.25 will be deducted for every wrong answer.

XAT 2024 Questions paper pattern

There are four sections of the XAT question pattern. Students have to solve a total 100 questions in 3 hours. Earlier, there was a section related to an essay but when it got online in the year 2018, that section was removed.

XAT 2022 results will be announced after a particular duration from the exam. XAT 2024 Cutoff

The XAT 2024 cutoff is expected to be a bit tough in the comparison of previous years cut off. XAT 2024 cut off was 92 for male candidates and 90 for female candidates to get admission in business management. However, the XAT cut-off score for different institute can vary and students can apply for admission if they get the required marks.

Once the results will be published by XLRI then they can proceed to apply for GD and Personal interview. The final selection list for admission will be published on the basis of the candidate’s overall performance during the exam process.

XAT 2024 Important Dates

The XLRI will announce the XAT 2022 important dates in august month and the registration process will start in September. Students can register themselves for the exam till December first week. Admit card will be released 2 to 3 weeks before the exam date.
