    Common Management Admission Test (CMAT Exam Pattern 2023)


    Common Management Admission Test is popularly known as CMAT exam. It is an aptitude test conducted by the National testing agency for admission in 1000+ colleges. CMAT Exam 2023 will be organized in 245 centers in 153 cities across the country. The CMAT exam duration 2023 is 180 minutes and it will be conducted in online mode.

    According to the CMAT question pattern, 100 multiple choice questions from quantitative techniques, local reasoning, language comprehension, and general awareness will be asked during the exam. From each section 25 questions will be asked. Students have to be eligible to appear in the Common Management Admission Test.

    The exam notification was announced in December 2023 with a complete exam schedule but due to COVID-19 and AICTE announcement, it rescheduled from Feb to May.

    Latest Update of CMAT Exam 2023

    CMAT 2023 registration window was closed on 1 March. Now the Common Management Admission Test will be organized in two shifts on 8 May 2023. The first shift of the exam will be from 9 am to 12 PM and the second shift will be from 3 PM to 6 PM. 

    Earlier the CMAT exam date 2023 was extended by the National Testing Agency. Also, the registration window reopened for students again. The major change in this exam is the AICTE introduced an optional section that is innovation and entrepreneurship. 25 questions will be asked from this section and each question will carry 4 marks. 

    Students can apply for this section if they have not applied earlier. CMAT 2023 correction window will open soon for the students who applied for it. They can make corrections in the details they have provided in the form by using login ID and password.

    CMAT Eligibility 2023

    It is compulsory that only eligible students can apply for the Common Management Aptitude Test. For this, they have to fulfill the CMAT Eligibility 2023.

    1. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognizable university or college. 
    2. No age limit for a candidate to appear in the exam going to conduct in may month
    3. Graduation final year students can apply for the exam. However, they have to submit the final year mark sheet before the given deadline or the start of the next academic session.
    4. General students must hold 50% marks in graduation and reserved category students will be eligible on 45% marks.

    Registration

    CMAT Registration process 2023 was started on December 23 2023 and the last date to submit the form is 01 March 2023. Earlier the last date to complete the registration process is 30 January 2023. The application process is completely online, students will visit the official website of the exam and after completing the form, the fee will be paid using the online payment method.

    According to the Official notification, more than 74,000 students appeared in the CMAT 2023exam. There is no doubt that students will face tough competition to get a good score in this exam. Only those candidates will get a chance to appear in the exam who have successfully submitted the application.

    Step by Step Application Process

    • After visiting the official website complete the online registration process by using your email id and phone number.
    • Complete the application form and note the application number for the future.
    • Upload scanned images of passport size photographs and signs. According to the guidelines, 
    • Passport size photographs should be between 10KB to 100 KB in black and white background. 
    • The scanned Signature size should be 4kb to 30 KB.
    • Image of PwD certificate size should be between 50kb to 300 KB
    •  At last, pay the application fee by using SBI or HDFC payment gateway or net banking or UPI wallet. The application fee will be 2000 INR for general category students and 1000 INR for female candidates.

    CMAT Exam Pattern 2023

    The Common Management Admission Test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency in 153 cities in the country. students going to appear in the exam will be organized in May month, should have complete knowledge about the CMAT exam pattern 2023. Total 5 sections will be there in the CMAT question paper and the total duration will be 210 minutes. 

    There is a negative marking system in the Common Management Admission Test 2023. So students have to be careful while answering the question. It is suggested that students reach the exam center two hours before their exam shift to avoid any inconvenience.

    CMAT Results 2023

    Appeared candidates can download their CMAT Result 2023 once uploaded by the National Testing Agency on the official website. Application number and Date of Birth will be used as login credentials to download the results. There is no change in rules for tie-breaking marks. 

    CMAT Cutoff 2023

    the National testing Agency will not release the CMAT Cutoff 2023. The colleges that accept the score will release their separate scorecard to invite admission. Cut off will depend on various topics

    1. The number of candidates who appeared in the Common Management Admission Test this year
    2. Level of difficulty in the exam
    3. Available seat in the particular institute
    4. The number of qualified students in the exam.

    2. Students can find the option of download CMAT 2023admit card when it is activated by the conducting body.

    Students can contact the helpline number if they are facing any kind of issue to download the admit card. Keep in mind that no students will be allowed in the exam centre on CMAT 2023 exam date without the admit card. The admit card of the exam contains certain information about the candidate and exam.

    FAQ's

    The last date to apply for the exam is 01 March. Earlier, the date was 23 January. The exam is secluded for May 8 and results will be declared soon after the exam.
    The score will be valid for only one year till the next academic session starts or announcement of CMAT 2022 dates.
    In an academic year, the exam is conducted only once. However, students can appear in the exam as many time you want. There is no limit of attempts.
