West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE Exam)
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted by the state government of West Bengal to get enrollment in private and government engineering institutes of West Bengal. Students can give this exam after completing their class 12th with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Math. Almost 20 to 30 K students appear for this exam every year. This exam is a pen paper-based examination.Â
This exam was started in 1962 by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Their purpose is to get their students admission in graduation from the best engineering colleges in West Bengal. WBJEE Exam only includes multiple-choice type’s questions.Â
WBJEE exam is conducted only once a year.Â

WBJEE Exam Eligibility Criteria
WBJEE Exam eligibility criteria are set according to the length and depth of each subject and also set by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board community.
- For sitting in the WBJEE exam students must be the age of 16 years old and there is no above age limit for the students.
- Students should have passing marks in their Physics, Chemistry, and Math in their class 12th. They should have a valid passing certificate and mark sheet.
- Students must also have passing marks in English subjects in their class 12th.
WBJEE Exam pattern
WBJEE exam will be held on 30th April 2023 in this the questions are multiple-choice questions. There are two papers for the WBJEE exam. 1st is Math and 2nd paper is Physics and Chemistry. The question paper is divided into three categories 1st category in which one question is of one mark and in 2nd category, each question will be of 2 marks and in 3rd category, each question also will be of 2 marks. Both papers are of 2 hours each which is 4 hours of the total exam. This is a pen paper-based exam students need to fill the OMR sheet. Physics and Chemistry have 40 questions and Math has 75 questions. WBJEE Exam pattern also involves negative marking also.

WBJEE Exam Syllabus

WBJEE Exam Result
Only students can apply those who have an eligible score in their class 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Math for sitting in WBJEE exam 2023. Students have to register themselves for the colleges they have to be in after getting the valid score in the WBJEE exam in the West Bengal region only as the WBJEE exam is for the West Bengal engineering college exam. If their marks match the eligibility criteria given by the particular college they can get admission to any West Bengal engineering college.

WBJEE Exam Cut-off
WBJEE Exam cutoff will be announced after the exam consulting will be done in July which is all set by the West Bengal entrance examination board.

- Make an agenda for every particular subject.
- Understand your strength and weakness in each and every subject and work on them according to that.
- Follow the latest syllabus provided by the WBJEE exam board.
- Study according to the exam pattern that has been set for each particular subject.

WBJEE Exam Important Dates
Candidates are able to download the admit card from April 22, 2023. The exam will be conducted on 30th April 2023 through offline mode (OMR Sheet). The result will be published through online mode in June 2023. The counselling will be conducted from the August/ September 2023.
WBJEE 2023 Cut Off will be released at the time of publication of result in August/ September 2023. It will be decided by the board as per the result and marking scheme.
Their dates are divided very finely as the board wants to give time to students to be prepared for their test properly and they don’t get confused with the registration and exam dates. WBJEE Exam important dates are:
