    Under the Melvisharam Muslim Educational Society (MMES), C. Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering & Technology (CAHCET), Vellore was founded in 1998. It has been accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is associated with Anna University, Chennai. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has granted it accreditation and it is an ISO 9001:2008 recognised institution. The college lies 4 miles from Arcot, the capital of the Arcot Nawabs, who ruled one-fourth of South India, and 100 km from Chennai's Anna International Airport.

    CAHCET MBA Admission

    The college also provides PG degrees in MBA. Those with a graduate degree from an accredited university are eligible for both courses.

    Admission to both courses is determined by a student's TANCET performance. Based on the entrance exam scores, a merit list will be created, and Anna University will conduct counselling to make the final selection.

    CAHCET Application Process

    The college accepts applications only through offline means. Applicants must go to the official website and obtain the application form from the homepage's "Downloads" section.

    They must correctly complete the form and mail it to the college address. A bank draft payable to "Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology" and payable to Melvisharam or Vellore is required to cover the INR 300 application fee.

    Hakeem Auditorium is spacious and acoustically designed with seating capacity of 2500 persons.

    The institute has 03 seminar halls with a seating capacity of 300, 200 and 100 persons.

    All the computer labs are well equipped with latest tools and technologies.


    The library is housed in a spacious area of 544 sq. mtrs. and has a comprehensive collection of 6214 titles and 31825 volumes of books. It has 118 journals and 1923 audio-visual CD’s.
