The two merit lists - merit based on CAT/ CMAT/ MAT score or merit based on percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (80% weightage) and Personal Interview (20% weight age) - are used to select candidates for the MBA programme. The University's TMU entrance exam is used to determine a candidate's admission to the M.Ed programme. Candidates are chosen for the remaining courses based on the percentage of marks they earned in the prerequisite exam.

The placement rates for the class of 2021 at Teerthanker Mahaveer University have significantly increased. 460 students from the computer science and IT streams and 100 students from the management streams were placed during the 2021 TMU placement drive.
